Space Town Literacy Programme (Space Town)
Space Town Literacy Programme (Space Town) is an enhanced version of the Primary Literacy Programme-Reading and Writing (PLP-R/W). This year, it is implemented in P.1-P.3. Students are scaffolded through the five stages of the writing process where they apply the vocabulary, grammar items and sentence patterns they have learned in both reading lessons and GE lessons. They also develop an awareness of the thinking process as they are learning. Teachers model metacognitive skills and work with students so that they develop the ability to self-monitor and self-assess their learning.
